Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) deals with all areas in grappling, but specializes in what happens on the mat. Using superior positioning and leverage, a smaller BJJ student can often restrain or submit a larger opponent using pins, joint locks and chokes. BJJ is one of the most effective martial arts and has become the foundation of training programs for mixed martial artists, military and law enforcement.
A typical BJJ class consists of warm-ups, stretching, drills, lots of techniques and sparring.
Safety is always important. Throws and submissions are performed in a controlled manner. Advanced students are required to help out beginners. We take care of our training partners.
We have a fully matted floor that is perfect for this kind of training.
