Fighting is only permitted for self-defense.
When we talk to children about fighting, we tell them that fighting is only allowed when someone
is trying to hurt you.
This definition helps kids determine
whether or not fighting is necessary. For example, name-calling is not a reason to fight because name-calling does not physically
hurt you.
The majority of fights can be avoided. The best way to
avoid confrontation is to keep your lips zipped and mind your own business. Do not engage in gossip and spread rumors. THINK
before you speak.
